ExpressCard 1000
The ExpressCard 1000 offers all features required for complete
personalization and instant of Credit/ Debit/ ATM/ Financial
Gift cards, and does so within a single integrated unit
that fits securely and comfortably on a desktop at the branch
or customer service location.
Card personalization features such as color card-printing,
magstripe encoding, Smart Card encoding, card embossing,
indent printing, and foil tipping have been combined into
a single compact device that fits securely on a desktop,
and meets both the physical and logical security requirements
of a branch location card-issuing environment. In addition,
MagTek’s MagnePrint® card authentication security
technology provides extended value to the ExpressCard 1000
platform.
The ExpressCard 1000 is capable of fully personalizing
any CR-80 sized Credit/Debit/ATM/Gift card in 90 seconds,
and allows financial institutions to provide their customers
with the speed and convenience of instant-issuance or instant-replacement
of financial cards at the branch location. Instant card
issuance combined with custom personalization, provides
a higher level of service that existing customers will appreciate
and that new customers will be attracted to. It provides
forward-thinking financial institutions with an opportunity
to clearly differentiate their services, and to provide
more value to their customers.
For the first time, customers are provided an opportunity
to create truly unique cards that reflect their individual
personalities. Photos of family, friends, pets, and vacations
can be integrated onto a financial card, and allow customers
to create cards that are uniquely “theirs”.
These custom personalization features inspire loyalty to
the financial institution that issued them, and promotes
more frequent card usage by the customer.
The ExpressCard 1000 can be connected as a peripheral to
MagTek’s IntelliCAT or MCAPS 3000 instant-issuance
software suites, to create a complete and secure instant
issuance system. (Alternatively, the ExpressCard 1000’s
SDK can be utilized to integrate to an existing card-issuance
platform.) With this end-to-end solution, financial institutions
are provided with all of the benefits of a distributed instant-issuance
system, yet maintain centralized control over all operations
via a central security center. Security privileges, transaction
logs, card inventory, and cardholder databases can be monitored
and controlled from a central location. The IntelliCAT and
MCAPS 3000 platforms also allow financial institutions to
centrally manage the process of consumer-selected PIN as
part of the card issuance process.
Features:
- Immediate issuance of new and replacement financial
cards at the branch location
- Secure consumer-selected PIN capabilities
- Safe delivery of financial cards directly into the hands
of the cardholder
- Elimination of security concerns regarding cards lost
or stolen in the mail
- Reduced mailing expenses for card distribution
- Card personalization features that are truly unique
and inspire cardholder loyalty
- Centralized control of all card-issuance and consumer-selected
PIN operations

MT-95
The MT-95 is a HiCo/LoCo manual swipe magstripe encoder-reader
with advanced security features, that allows for the secure
instant issuance of financial, and ID cards. The MT-95’s
on-board intelligence, coupled with an LCD display, optional
keyboard, and RS-232 interface, allows the device to be
configured for operation in either a stand-alone or host-based
configuration.
Magnetic encoding of data tracks 1, 2, 3, is supported
per the ISO 7810/7811 low-coercivity and high-coercivity
(LoCo/HiCo) magnetic encoding standards. Drivers license
formats are supported per the AAMVA standards but, for
security reasons, cannot be encoded. In the standalone
mode, user-defined card formats can be custom designed,
that allow for auto-entry of fixed data fields, thereby
simplifying the amount of custom data that needs to be
entered for each card’s personalization. For on-line
operation, user-defined prompts can be presented on the
LCD to provide clear status and instructions to the authorized
operator.
Features:
- Supports on-line and off-line card encoding
- Writes, reads, verifies and modifies magnetic stripe
cards
- Works by itself in a standalone mode or interfaces
with a PC
- Encode any combination of up to three tracks simultaneously
- All fixed or constant data can be programmed
- Encodes credit cards, debit cards, I.D. cards; accepts
standard ISO PVC cards
- Supports HiCo, LoCo, or Hi/Lo encoding

the human-element from ensuring quality magstripe and Smart
Card encoding. A smooth mechanical card-transport ensures
fast, reliable, and high-quality encode operations. A dual-color
red/green LED provides clear status indications to the operator.
Power-fail card-return, and manual card-eject features ensure
that a customer’s card can easily be retrieved under
any conditions.
Magnetic tracks 1,2,3 can be encoded and read-verified
per the ISO 7810/7811 Low-coercivity and High-coercivity
(Loco/Hico) magstripe standards. (Support is also provided
for AAMVA Driver’s License formats. Proprietary
magstripe formats can be supported via a binary encode
mode.) Smart Cards can be encoded per the ISO 7816 and
EMV L1 standards using either T=0 or T=1 protocols. Support
is also provided for many popular memory cards including:
SLE 4404, 4418, 4428, 4442, 4443, and I2C families.

InSpec
9000
The InSpec 9000 is a desktop card inspection system
that quickly and accurately tests magstripe cards for magnetic
encode quality per the ISO 7810/7811 standards. Parameters
such as amplitude, jitter, start-sentinel position, and
data content are analyzed. Test results are clearly displayed
via graphical, text, and report formats.
Test results can be reviewed for a single card, or cumulative
test data can be stored in a database that allows for
SPC (Statistical Process Control) analysis of card quality
based on parameters such as; date, time, card stock, encoder
equipment, equipment operator, production shift, customer
name, etc.
The InSpec 9000 is an ideal QA and engineering analysis
tool for any organization that manufactures or purchases
magstripe cards, and has a need to implement an SPC based
QA program that monitors card-encode quality. Additionally,
the InSpec 9000 is an indispensable analysis tool for
terminal and kiosk equipment manufacturers who have a
need to test the performance of single cards, so as to
validate the performance of their own equipment, and/or
to determine root-cause analysis for customer reported
field problems.
The InSpec 9000 system comes complete with hardware and
software that can quickly be installed and operated from
any MS Windows PC.

for all three encoded tracks to quickly pass or fail
cards while data is automatically stored in a selected
database
- New full color data analysis display screens include
pass/fail condition indicators
- More technical and detailed screens provide in depth
analysis
- Each point of data can be examined in detail by placing
the cursor over the data point
- Display can be shown in Metric or English dimensions
- Start sentinel location with leading and trailing
zeroes for all three tracks are displayed with "Go/No-Go"
conditions
